Annmarie Zilnicki began her career with the East End Financial Group in 1984 after graduating with a degree in Industrial Relations from the Business School at Ithaca College. She later earned her designation as a Certified Financial Planner from Adelphi University and now, 30 years later, is an owner of the firm and serves as President.
Annmarie is involved in nearly every aspect of the firm’s day-to-day activities including financial and staff management, special projects and events, compliance issues, pension work and property management. Despite her many duties, however, she remains focused on what she considers to be the the firm’s most important asset — its deep relationship with each of its clients.
"We really take the time to understand our clients as individuals," she says. "It helps us better anticipate their needs – not just react when things happen. People don’t always realize how intertwined financial planning is with major life events. Births, deaths, weddings – these things happen to everyone, which means that we can plan for them. I like that our clients come to trust us, and can rely on us for guidance when they really need us."
Annmarie grew up in the Township of Riverhead and makes her home in Aquebogue with her husband, who comes from a farming family. "Between the two of us, we can’t be too far away from a farm or a beach," she says. "That’s one of the things that makes the East End really special, that you can have those things and still enjoy a truly professional career."
Active in a number of Community and Civic organizations, Annmarie is a member of the Riverhead Rotary, where she Chairs the Scholarship committee, and also serves on the Board of the GLK Foundation, which benefits brain tumor research.
