For us, there is no greater reward than being able to give back, and truly be a part of the East End Community that we call home. As such, we remain actively involved in community, social and philanthropic events and invite you to stay up to date with us.


 

  • Gwen L. Kosinski Brain Tumor Foundation: News and Upcoming Events

    • The 17th Annual GLK Golf Outing will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the beautiful Noyac Golf Club in Sag Harbor.

    • The GLK Foundation has funded $10,000 in 2018 scholarships this year to Pierson High School in Sag Harbor, NY.  This scholarship goes to High School Seniors pursuing a college major in the medical field for the 2018-19 school year. 

    • On Tuesday, September 12th, 2017 we hosted the 16th Annual Gwen L. Kosinski Memorial Golf Tournament at Noyac Golf Club in Sag Harbor. This year’s outing was very successful, netting $32,000 to the Foundation. With the proceeds of the outing we will continue to fund brain tumor research at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.  Thank you to all who supported this year’s event.  Mark your calendar for next year’s outing at Noyac Golf Club on September 11, 2018.

    • The GLK Foundation raised an additional $50,000 in 2017, and donated $45,000 to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center to fund research towards finding a cure for brain tumors and the balance to college scholarships.  Since inception, $535,000 has been distributed in Grants and Scholarships!

  • EEFG Community News

    • The East End Financial Group has awarded $3,500 to eight local high school seniors with our 4th Annual Fire District Scholarship Program.  The awards were given to students in local fire districts who demonstrated outstanding extra-curricular achievement along with service to the community.

    • Annmarie Zilnicki as Chairperson of the Riverhead Rotary Scholarship Committee, recently awarded $38,500 in scholarships to Riverhead and McGann-Mercy High School Seniors.

    • Mark Poitras was recently awarded by the Town of Southampton Emergency Medical Service Advisory Committee with the Nancy Makson EMS Award of Excellence and the Ralph Oswald Distinction for Inspirational Leadership. This was an extremely distinctive honor to receive both awards!

    • Jeff Connolly was just elected to the Mattituck-Cutchogue School Board. Our congratulations to Jeff!

    • Connie Tobin is the new President of the Southold Junior/Senior Athletic Association. Congratulations Connie!

    • Ernie Vorpahl continues his involvement with the Kendall Madison Foundation.The Foundation gives an annual 4 year scholarship to the most well rounded male and female student-athlete in the East Hampton school district.  They also fund endeavors to enhance the overall student-athlete experience.  Most recently it funded a trip to the 9/11 Memorial for East Hampton’s Junior class.

    • East End Financial Group continues to support World T.E.A.M. Sports Face of America annual ride for wounded and disabled men and women who have served our nation. The 110 mile ride starts from the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia to the historic Civil War battlefields of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
