East End Financial Group News and Events

For us, there is no greater reward than being able to give back, and truly be a part of the East End Community that we call home. As such, we remain actively involved in community, social and philanthropic events and invite you to stay up to date with us.


 

  • Gwen L. Kosinski Brain Tumor Foundation: News and Upcoming Events

    • This GLK 2024 Golf Outing and World-Famous Golf Ball Drop will be held September 10, 2024. Please monitor the GLK website for further details.

      • The GLK Foundation funded scholarships for five students from Pierson High School in Sag Harbor, NY  totalling $10,000 in 2023.

      • Through its 2023 fundraising efforts, the GLK Foundation was able to fund $75,000 in research grants in 2023 to the National Brain Institute, Cedars Sinai Medical Center and Sloan Kettering. It also was able to fund $10,000 to Camp Good Grief, a division of East End Hospice.

      • Since inception over $1 million has been distributed in medical research Grants, Scholarships, and caregiver's grants, etc. It remains GLK mission to continue funding research towards finding a cure for brain tumors!

    • EEFG Community News

      • In 2023 The East End Financial Group awarded $5,250 in  scholarships to fifteen local high school seniors with our 9th Annual Fire District Scholarship Program.  The awards were given to students in local fire districts who demonstrated outstanding extra-curricular achievement along with service to the community. 

      • Through Annmarie Zilnicki's involvement as Chairperson of the Riverhead Rotary Scholarship Committee, $96,500 in 2023 scholarships were awarded to High School Seniors in the Riverhead Central School District this year.

      • Mark Poitras continues his volunteer work with the Sag Harbor Ambulance Corps and the Sag Harbor Lions Club Scholarship Committee, awarding $30,000 in scholarships at Pierson High School; $15,000 to Ashley Weatherwax, $7,500 to Emily Squires and $7,5000 to Chloe Lucyk in 2023. 

      • Ernie Vorpahl continues his involvement with the Kendall Madison Foundation which awarded $10,000 in scholarships in 2023 to the most well-rounded student-athlete of the East Hampton Seniors.

      • Jeff Connolly serves as a Board Trustee for the Mattituck-Cutchogue School Board.  

      • In 2020 the East End Financial Group celebrated its 40th year in business.

      • East End Financial Group continues to support World T.E.A.M. Sports Face of America annual ride for wounded and disabled men and women who have served our nation. The 110-mile ride starts from the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia to the historic Civil War battlefields of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
